The Chesapeake College MGW Nursing Class of 2023 had a 100 percent pass rate on the national NCLEX licensure exam, earning the top spot of nursing programs in Maryland. This is the second time in the last three years that Chesapeake has ranked #1 for Maryland NCLEX pass rates.

“Our excellent pass rates speak to not only our amazing students, but also the tremendous faculty here at Chesapeake,” said Dr. Heather Westerfield, Director of the Chesapeake College MGW Nursing Program.

Chesapeake this academic year is celebrating 25 years of the associate degree RN program that was created when the Macqueen Gibbs Willis diploma nursing program merged with Chesapeake College.

Today Chesapeake nursing graduates are working throughout the region in all nursing specialties in various settings.
