The Power of Our People

Amber McGinnins receiving the Innovator AwardWe are proud to share a few recent moments that highlight how our small but mighty teams continue to make an outsized impact across the Mid-Shore.
At the Queen Anne’s County Chamber of Commerce Celebrating Business event, our own Amber McGinnis received the Innovative Partnership Award for her work building and strengthening education–industry connections in Queen Anne’s County. Amber’s efforts reflect the spirit of collaboration and community commitment that defines Chesapeake College.
two gold, three silver, and one bronze Medallion Awards lined up on a tableOur College Relations & Marketing team was also recognized this month at the NCMPR District 1 Conference, bringing home six awards for projects including our Viewbook, Annual Report, Brochure and Poster Series, Website, and the Wild Card award for the Mobile Welding Trailer. These projects were led by Danielle Darling, Marcie Molloy, Leia Wefelmeyer, and Jennifer Perkins, and represent the creativity and reach our team brings to telling Chesapeake’s story.
Together, these recognitions showcase how the work happening across our college continues to resonate well beyond campus—lifting up our students, strengthening our partnerships, and raising the visibility of Chesapeake throughout the region.
