First Plant Sale to Benefit Ag Students

First Plant Sale to Benefit Ag Students

Celebrate spring with our Hoop House opening and plant sale to benefit the Chesapeake College Agriculture Program on Wednesday, April 26 from 4:30 -6:30 pm. Click here for more

For more information about the event, please contact Marcie Molloy at [email protected].

The Hoop House was funded by a grant from the Rural Maryland Council-Maryland Agricultural Education and Rural Development Assistance Fund. The structure, which resembles a greenhouse, is located along U.S. Route 50 beneath the wind turbine.

The Hoop House allowed students to cultivate plants for the sale and mitigate the effects of spring temperatures fluctuations.  Students in a variety of agriculture classes will use the house in their coursework.
