The Skipjacks women’s basketball team were the NJCAA Region XX, Division II champions and competed in the national  tournament this season.

“From the beginning of the season, the players agreed on a theme “One Team, One Mind, One Goal” and they stuck with it throughout the season,” said Head Coach Gwen Barnes. “We faced a number of challenges but we remained focused.”

The team’s outstanding season also included individual honors. Sophomore guard Janice Ladson and freshman forward Shahra Madison were named to the All Region First Team.  Freshman guard Deondria Wimber earned Honorable Mention.
