New Chesapeake grads ready for healthcare careers

Families joined with Chesapeake employees this month in celebrating the graduation of more than 100 students in noncredit Health Professions. Students were recognized in a July 12 ceremony from the Nursing Assistant, Dental Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant and Veterinary Assistant programs.

Vice President for Workforce and Academic Programs David Harper praised the graduates for overcoming challenges and choosing to enter medical careers.

“You made the brave decision to better yourselves through education,” Dr. Harper to the graduates. “You have chosen a life of service to others and will care for some of the most vulnerable among us. We’re so proud of you.”
